Elton John, Billy Joel Play HSBC Arena on March 9

After a spate of illness sidelined the Buffalo date from Elton John and Billy Joel’s Face 2 Face Tour last December, the dynamic duo finally reach Buffalo on Tuesday, March 9 at 7:30pm. The world tour has now covered over a year on the road for the pair. The format for the show is both will come together at the beginning to play a set of duets together for breaking out for solo sets only to rejoin together for the big finale. Buffalo and Albany will be some of the last dates played by the pair before going their separate touring ways in 2010. Visit Elton John Tour for additional upcoming tour dates.

David Gray Draws the Line at the University at Buffalo Center for the Arts on March 29

British singer-songwriter David Gray has extended his “Draw the Line” tour and added a date for the University at Buffalo Center for the Arts on Monday, March 29 at 8pm. Gray has recruited Phosphorescent to serve as opening musical support for the show. His latest album “Draw the Line” was released in September and is Gray’s first slate of new material since 2007’s “Life in Slow Motion.” David Gray’s Buffalo stop is part of a world tour that has been running since October. Tickets go onsale to the general public through Ticketmaster on Friday, December 11 at 10am. Tickets will run from $57.50 to $40 for seating on the floor and $27.50 for upstairs seating.

Mark Knopfler Comes to University at Buffalo Center for the Peforming Arts April 28

Mark Knopfler, former Dire Straits frontman, will be coming to University at Buffalo Center for the Performing Arts on Wednesday, April 28 at 7:30pm. Dubbed by Rolling Stone as one of the greatest guitarists of all time, Knopfler is touring on the release of his latest album “Get Lucky.” He will be hitting 23-cities on his upcoming 2010 tour which maps through April and into May, and Pieta Brown will be opening select dates for Knopfler.

Tickets go onsale through Ticketmaster on Friday, September 18 at 10am. For the lucky few, there will be a chance to snag advanced ticket during the Internet presale on Friday, September 18 at 8am. Ticket prices will range from $96 for reserved seating on the main floor with the upstairs selling for $96 to $85.
