It’s easy to fix, only took me about 5 minutes, and should only cost you $8.00 if you don’t have the right tools lying around the house. Once you know what you’re doing, it takes about 30 seconds to fix!
The first thing I did was follow all the instructions in the user guide, initial start-up guide, and recipe book that came with my air fryer. Then I started cooking food and everything seemed fine for about 4-5 times of use until one day it just stopped working. The power button would light up and press down but no heat would ever come on.

The first thing I did was search online for a new air fryer, which was a lot of work. This website helped me to find one that was about an hour away from my house and I climbed into the car right away to go pick it up. When I got back home, I put the air fryer on the counter and there were a few different parts inside. The first thing I noticed was that the condensation tray wasn’t attached to anything so it wouldn’t fit back in after taking it out of the box.
I didn’t need this tray but if you do then you’re going to have to attach it yourself. There’s a clip located right next to the basket and you just catch the tray with it as you place it back in the cooker. I noticed one of the screws was missing on my fryer so I bought a few at my local hardware store and replaced them.
Then, I decided to take apart all the different parts and see if anything else needed fixing. A lot of people online said they fixed their air fryer by cleaning out all the grease and grease filters and then they reassembled everything and fixed it that way. I did this for a while and it seemed to fix a few other problems, but not all five.
After a while I started feeling frustrated again because my air fryer wasn’t heating up. So after cleaning out all the grease, grease filters, etc., I decided to throw everything back together and see if that fixed it. It did! The heat comes on right away and everything cooks great!
So if you’re having trouble with your air fryer not working right then you only have two options. The obvious option is to buy a new one and the not so obvious option is to try and fix it yourself with a few simple steps:
1. Disassemble the air fryer and clean all the grease and grease filters out of it. Make sure you clean all parts thoroughly and then reassemble it when you’re done. This may take a while depending on the size of your air fryer but I think you can handle it!
2. Re-attach the condensation tray. It’s not important how you do it, but I used a tape to place the tray back in because it didn’t have any screws or clips that would fit into the holes quickly.
3. Put everything back together again and try re-starting your air fryer if it still wasn’t working after these steps.

How do I fix my air fryer that is not heating?

Are you using the right amount of oil?
You want enough oil so that nothing sticks or burns but not so much oil that it will overflow when cooking. If your air fryer is smoking or has a strange smell, you are using too much oil. Also, if food is sticking to the inside of the air fryer when you try to take it out, you are probably using too much oil.
If you don’t use enough oil, your food will end up dry and tasteless. This can also cause the temperature of your air fryer to get too hot and hurt the outside of it. Follow this guide on how much oil is enough for your air fryer or check the user’s manual to see how much oil should be in it based on its size.
How do I reset my air fryer?
To reset an air fryer, follow these steps. Make sure to have your air fryer unplugged from the outlet before you start this:
1. Hold in the “on/off” button and push and hold in the “Temp” button (the temperature is usually red). You should hear a beep when it is reset and then you can turn on your air fryer again.
2. If you don’t hear a beep when you do this, make sure that the outlet has power and that the circuit breaker isn’t tripped.
3. Take out all of the food so the air fryer can cool down.
4. If you cannot hear a beep, unplug your air fryer and contact customer service to see if they will replace it for you.
I’ve noticed that my air fryer doesn’t get hot enough/isn’t heating up properly. What should I do?
If your air fryer isn’t heating up properly, make sure your outlet is properly grounded and that there is power to the circuit breaker. If these things are fixed, the problem could be the heat plate itself. This plate will get dirty overtime but can be cleaned out with a wire brush or cloth. If it still isn’t working, you need to contact customer service to see what they can do for you.
Which size of veg is suitable for Cosori air fryer?
The smallest 10oz container is suitable for Cosori air fryer, which you can cook about 1 lb of food at a time. If you want to cook more, we suggest you upgrade to a larger model. That way you can cook 4-5 lbs of meat easily and safely. Just remember to keep the amount of oil in check and avoid overcrowding that will cause your food to spill and burn if not cooked properly.
How do I clean a machine if it’s a different model?
For a newer model, follow these steps:
1. Remove all food from your air fryer and open the door to let the oil drip out.
2. If you have an air fryer with an easier to access grease filter, make sure you clean the grease filter first to remove any build up. Then wash all parts with soap and water to remove any dirt or grease. Wipe it dry and let dry completely before reassembling your air fryer (otherwise it may end up collecting dirt).
3. Now you can put your air fryer back together and fill it with oil again, making sure the air fryer is completely cool before you do this.
4. Try starting your air fryer to make sure it heats up properly again.
If you have an older model, follow these steps:
1. Take all of the food out of the air fryer and wipe off any excess grease that has built up on the sides or bottom with a paper towel or cloth. Remove any racks if they are removable and wash with warm soapy water. Wipe them dry and place back into the fryer when dry to prevent rusting.
2. Take the air fryer apart and wash all parts with warm soapy water. Make sure to clean where the oil is stored at the bottom of the air fryer because this is where excess oil might build up.
3. Let the parts dry completely before plugging your air fryer back in.
Is my air fryer safe to use after cleaning it?
If your air fryer has been properly cleaned, there shouldn’t be any harmful chemicals in it so long as you are using clean ingredients and no plastic wrap during cooking. Since there are breakable parts inside of them, they are not ideal to use after cleaning but they should still work fine.
